A practitioner optimising for within-frontier task volume is simultaneously atrophying the outside-frontier judgment that creates strategic SEO advantage. The productivity gains and the strategic erosion are not alternatives β they occur simultaneously in the same workflow.
Dell’Acqua et al.’s skill-compression finding: below-average performers improved 43% with AI; above-average performers improved only 17%. Top skill-level practitioners gained the least.
